GOOOOOOD Morning POTTY People!
Welcome to our 50th Potty Time with POTTYMINTS Episode!
Holy Sh*t... If you have been rocking with us since the first episode... Thank you!
If this is your first episode... Welcome to Potty Time with POTTYMINTS! Think of us like that person you ask to make a "bathroom trip" with - we are here for you!
We may be a Bathroom blog... but then again... we are confident most of you are reading this from the comfort of your toilet! So a captive audience!
In case Memorial Day Weekend didn’t already give it away… Summer is here!
We have said it once, and we will say it again - here at POTTYMINTS we are very much of the pale complexion
Certain light bulbs are strong enough to give us a sunburn…
So this week, we wanted to cool down with you and talk about pools…
Pools… the Uber Pool of… Pools
There are few feelings better on a hot Summer day than a taking a dip in a pool
… The issue with pools are… the other feeling people enjoy just as much as a summer swim… is peeing in the pool itself
So for this week’s Main Story we take a deep dive into the age old question: How Much Urine is in the Swimming Pool?
Swimming Pools are aquatic playgrounds - a place for people to relax, a place to get some sun, and a place where we are forced to watch kids perform their best underwater handstand
If you want to experience real nostalgia, think for a quick second about the smell of your local pool
A smell so distinct, that a Bathroom Blog… simply by putting the idea in your head, was able to conjure up that smell
We all know it… the smell of overwhelming amounts of chlorine
But… as I found out this week, that smell may now be tarnished forever…
Well… you learn something new everyday
Enough pissing the time away… lets get into this week’s POTTY Picks!
We decided to stick with the swimming theme for this section of the blog
In New York City, there are many options to get around - from the infamous underground Subway, to the reckless NYC Taxi drivers… to even Citibike - there are so many ways to get around this wonderful city!
Especially during the beautiful Summer Weather, seeing businessmen and women in their suits on bikes is no surprise… but this week’s video of the week is making fun of exactly that…
This Week’s Video of the Week is called “NYC Man Who Swims to Work Every Day”... enjoy
We are not going to lie, this is our favorite section of the blog… and we honestly think it should be yours too!
Summer gives us a reason to feel good in the morning, or throughout the day - and Music gives you a soundtrack to that joy!
For those of you that often overlook this section, we urge you - give this week’s 5 songs a listen, and if you like what you hear… give us a follow and a like on the playlist!
This week, we feature 5 songs we think you are going to absolutely love!
- “Thinking Of You” - Joesef
- “Forever” - Chris Brown
- “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” - Kylie Minogue
- “I Can’t Lose (Feat. Keyone Starr) - Pomo Remix” - Mark Ronson, Keyone Starr and Pomo
- “Rich Girl” - Lake Street Dive
Well Potty People… for this week’s Bathroom Moment of the Week… have we got a dusy for you
Whenever a Porta-Potty is involved in a story… you know you are in for a good one
And this weeks Bathroom Moment of the Week is no exception
You see, there was a man who was Camping in South Carolina when he, like many of us, needed to use the restroom
With no other option available… he went into the Porta-Potty
… When all of the sudden… it began to move (#ohshit)
The Porta-Potty was being transported… while this South Carolina man was still inside
So for 45 minutes, this man was being "tossed around inside the toilet stall of the trailer along with feces, urine, and other bodily fluids for the duration of the trip," he said.
When he was finally freed, he alleges he emerged from the unit "covered in waste matter."
He is now suing the Porta-Potty company, aptly named “Nature's Calling”...

Thanks for joining us for another episode of POTTY Time with POTTYMINTS!
As you all know, no blog is complete without a quote for the week ahead
This month, to honor of Gay Pride Month, we wanted to feature quotes from prominent figures in the LGBTQIA community - and this week we begin with a quote from one of the greatest athletes of all time - Billie Jean King
“It’s just really important that we start celebrating our differences. Let’s start tolerating first, but then we need to celebrate our differences.”
Billie Jean King
Thanks again for reading!
Have a great weekend and see you next week for another episode of POTTY Time with POTTYMINTS!
