Potty Time with POTTYMINTS: Episode 14!

Good Morning my fellow POTTY People!

We hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Even though, a regular 3 weekend directly after a 4-day weekend… feels like the government owes you something

For those of you that might of missed it, check out last week’s July 4th Themed Blog here: https://www.pottymints.com/blogs/blog/potty-time-with-pottymints-july-4th-edition

Let’s get into our main story for this week, courtesy of the good people of Dubai

This summer has been a hot one to say the least, heat waves across the country have made people crave for a beach day or even a refreshing dip in a pool!

And with weather in Dubai averaging 107 degrees, it’s no wonder that they love their pools!

You may have seen a pool with a diving board, maybe a pool with a waterslide or waterfall… but we can assure you… you have never seen a pool like this

Introducing Deep Dive, the deepest pool in the world, measuring at 196 feet deep… *gulp

Where to begin…

This pool looks like a claustrophobic person’s worst nightmare… (we can almost hear the therapist appointments being booked now

We would sh*t our pants underwater, but that’s against rule number 4 of the “Pool Rules”

While we think the idea, in theory is cool… but we have to be honest

The concept of paying money to Scuba Dive… with no fish… in a pool… doesn’t sound great

The idea of playing a game of “pool” in a pool… sounds like a practical joke

We are going to have to pass on this one, but ask yourself the question: Would you go in that pool?

Let’s “dive” into this week’s POTTY Picks!

For it’s One, Two, Three Strikes you’re out at the old ball game!

Of course, we are talking about America’s Pastime, Baseball!

Well… for the sake of this story… Wiffleball!

For this week’s Video of the week, we want to feature a heartwarming story of Eddie Zajadel

At 14 years old, Eddie Zajdel began building a baseball field in his parents’ backyard.

That mound of dirt has transformed into his own field of dreams…

“If I could turn something like this, you know, something in my backyard into a greater cause, that would make me very happy,” says Zajdel. “My goal is to share it with as many people as possible.”

For this week’s Potty Picks we decided to go a bit soulful this week, and show you some of our favorite Retro-Pop songs!

We’ve all grown up listening to Motown Records and infectious sounds and songs they made!

Love songs, heartbreak songs, songs about change, and songs with real meaning!

There is a reason the songs they created are timeless – and we think these 5 songs this week should be considered in that category – just some feel good music for your soul!

For this week’s POTTY Picks, we feature music from: Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Orgone, and Lady Wray!

The Wimbledon Tennis Tournament and more specifically British professional tennis player, Andy Murray.

While Roger Feder and Serena Williams unfortunately struggled and had early exits at the historic Tennis Tournament… Andy Murray on the other hand, used an “early exit” mid match to regain his composure.

You see, after a commanding 2 set lead Murray lost the next set, and looked a bit demoralized after blowing a big lead!

But miraculously, after the 3rd and 4th set… it began to rain… and they had to close the roof above Centre Court, which takes 10-15 minutes.

The players went back to the locker room, and although Murray walked in defeated… he emerged a new man… and went on to win the match!

When asked what he did between the third and fourth sets when the roof was closed on Centre Court, Murray said: "I went and had a shower. I went to the toilet. It was just a number one.”

Thank you all for reading this week’s Potty Time with POTTYMINTS!

While last week was our 13th episode, we neglected to mention that our Blog has officially celebrated its Bar/Bat Mitzvah thus making it an adult

… so we thank you all for growing up with us!  #L’chaim!

As you know, we end all of our blogs with a quote for the upcoming week, and we hope that you get some meaning or a different outlook on the week ahead because of it.

This week, we wanted to feature a quote from Irish Poet and Playwright, Oscar Wilde:

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.”

Oscar Wilde

Thank you so much again for reading, we will see you here next Monday for another edition of Potty Time with POTTYMINTS!

Have an amazing week!
