Potty Time with POTTYMINTS: Episode 18

Gooooood Morning Potty People!

Welcome to another fantastic episode of “Potty Time with POTTYMINTS!” (…if we do say so ourselves)

As you may or may not know, we here at POTTYMINTS work out of West Orange, New Jersey but… we are born and raised New Yorkers!

While we don’t have obnoxious over-the-top Italian accents like Joe Pesci… We have to admit, we do love our pizza!

New Yorkers have often looked on in complete bewilderment over the troths of tourists flocking into a S’barro’s Pizza in Times Square…

REALLY?! You really came all the way to New York City… to eat a slice you could have ordered at “Terminal 8” of your local airport?!?

Fun Fact:  The Average American eats 40 Pizza Pies a Year!

However, for this week’s story of the week, we travel to the birthplace of the “Pizza Margherita” Rome!

Tradition holds the classic "Pizza Margherita" was created by Raffaele Esposito on June 11, 1889 to honor the queen consort, Margherita of Savoy, during her visit to Naples with King Umberto I.

He used tomatoes, mozzarella and basil leaves to represent the colors of the flag of a just united Italy - red, white and green.

Now in 2021… Esposito might be turning over in his grave due to the newest Pizzeria to open up in Rome… "Mr. Go Pizza" a new vending machine which slides out freshly cooked pizzas in just three minutes.

Customers can choose from 4 different types of Pizza, and the “Mr. Go Pizza” machine will make it fresh, using flower, yeast and water to create fresh dough for every order, apply sauce and toppings… all in under 3 three minutes!

But the real test is… What do the Romans think?

"I wouldn't even think of eating a pizza made by a machine," said Giovanni Campana.

"Terrible. Pizza really needs to be eaten hot, immediately. This doesn't work for me," a passer by said.

"It's OK but it's not pizza," was her verdict.

Funny enough… “It’s Ok but it’s not Pizza” is also the new tagline for DiGiorno Pizza

Mama Mia, do we have a good episode for you… let’s get into this week’s POTTY Picks!

We have all been there…

You just took the cutest picture of you and your friends… and now its time to post it to social media

The only issue… What to caption the photo!?!

This brings us to the Video of the Week comes courtesy of the new Netflix Comedy Sketch show, “I Think You Should Leave”

This sketch called “Instagram” features Vanessa Bayer who you may remember from her years on Saturday Night Live!

While the entire show is absolutely hilarious, this particular sketch is relatable, short sweet, and did we mention… absolutely hysterical!

*Just a Heads Up: There is Adult Language in this Clip*

Not sure if you saw the news, but as of last week… Rihanna is now a Billionaire

Yes, you read that correctly…

It appears our girl “RiRi” was being serious when she said “Bitch Better Have My Money”…

So in honor of Rihanna, we decided to choose our Top 5 Rihanna Songs for this week’s POTTY Picks!

Congratulations to Rihanna on all of her success!

As you know, our goal here at POTTYMINTS is to keep what happens in the Bathroom… in the Bathroom

But this week’s Bathroom Moment of the Week is simply too good not to share!

Watch as the broadcast team of Lisa Rose and Ethan Forhetz explain a recent Bathroom incident at a local Home Depot…

We assure you… the story is worth the wait!

We often struggle to find Bathroom content to share with you on this section of the blog… but we are so happy we stumbled upon this video! Enjoy!

Thanks for tuning in to this weeks episode of Potty Time with POTTYMINTS!

Although our “thank you’s” can come across at times as disingenuous….

We assure you – we are incredibly grateful for anyone that decides to take a moment out of their day to read a Bathroom Blog! We do not take your attention or time for granted!

As you know, we like to end our weekly blogs with a quote for some additional wisdom and motivation for the week ahead!

This week’s quote comes once again from The Dalai Lama, who speaks to us this week about being present:

“There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called ‘Yesterday’ and the other is called ‘tomorrow’, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live.”
Dalai Lama

We hope you all take a moment this week to be actively present, as a wise man once said “Be Here Now.”

We hope you are all staying safe with all the craziness in the world, and we wish you all nothing but happiness for the week ahead!

See you next week!
