Why, Hello there! Happy Monday to you!
Welcome back to our 7th Episode of Potty Time with POTTYMINTS!
This week, we begin with an interesting story… courtesy of the good people at “Curbed”
We have all had to makes some adjustments this past year…
For some, adjustments meant leaving their jobs, moving back in with Family, or working from home…
Some adjustments were harder to adjust to than others… including, New Yorker… Niamh Sproul
One Saturday morning in April of 2020, after about a month of full-time working from home with her husband, taking calls from their bedroom and handling remote schooling for their two kids…
Niamh decided something had to change.
On a whim, while her husband was out getting bagels, Niamh began transforming one of the Bathrooms in her Williamsburg apartment into a private office.
She took a desk from her bedroom, and put it in the Bathroom, positioned right over the toilet…
Which… now that we have a moment to think about it…
Is essentially just sitting on the toilet backwards… giving you the tank, or a desk, to work on… Or even giving you a flat surface to eat your Lunch off of!
Niamh bought a “Do Not Disturb” sign for the Bathroom Door… but she had one last pressing issue… Zoom Calls
Yes, we all have been there… more interested in the Home of the person speaking, or even examining their personal belongings in the background… than the actual call itself
So… back to Niamh, she had to convince her colleagues that she was not working out of her Bathroom – so she angled her computer camera to the side, got a fake plant, some photos, books and candles!
Much to her surprise… Niamh had fooled all her co-workers who had thought she had moved, or was working out of a hotel!
According to Niamh, she worked in the Bathroom from 9 to 6 for at least 12 Months!
While we commend her for her ingenuity…
The idea of starting off every single day by walking to the Bathroom…
Flipping a “Do Not Disturb” door sign…
Grabbing your Morning Coffee and sipping it over your actual toilet…
…is not our ideal Morning Routine.
And as you might expect… after 12 months of working from the place you sh*t… Niamh is moving to California with her family!
Speaking of moving… let’s move on to our POTTY Picks of the Week!
This week’s Video of the Week goes to Scott Seiss (@scottseiss), a comedian on TikTok who appears to be a former Ikea employee.
Much like many of you, we have all been frustrated with Ikea
Both with the shopping experience (which is roughly based on a corn maze)
… and the actual furniture assembly process and instructions – which appear to be written by Satan himself.
But in this Video, watch as we see the other end of the spectrum – being put in the shoes of a Seasonal Employee at Ikea.
This video is just simply hilarious!
This week, we are back with 5 more songs to add to our POTTY Picks!
We decided to stick with the upbeat Summer tunes, so feel free to roll down the windows of your car to and jam out!
Whether you are all podcasted out, or you simply want some new music suggestions not chosen by an algorithm… look no further!
This week we feature some incredible music from: “Mark Ronson (Feat. Lykke Li), Dj Khaled (Feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller), Lord Echo and more!

For this week’s Bathroom Moment of the Week, we go to Cape Coral Florida, where we take a look at some POTTY Drama!
The story begins with a neighborly dispute, which began after finding out that “John” was selling untaxed furniture out of his home for over 15 months – leading to his next-door neighbor reporting him to the Department of Revenue.
As a result of this… John woke up to find a row of Toilets… placed on his neighbor’s lawn, faced directly toward his house – with signs mocking his name “John” on the toilet.
The issue has now become that the toilets are an “eye-sore” for not only John, but the surrounding community.
Some local Real Estate brokers have even argued that the toilet display is making it harder to sell new properties in the surrounding area.
The neighbor displaying the toilets claims they are simply – “Decorative” and argued that it’s a “Freedom of Expression”
And much to the chagrin of the Cape Coral community, Local law enforcement said, as long as the homeowner keeps the toilets at least 15 feet from the road, they can stay.
