Hey Potty People!
Happy Labor Day Weekend to each and every one of you!
We hope you are enjoying the Monday off, and are looking forward to another fantastic episode of Potty Time with POTTYMINTS!
This week, in honor of Labor Day Weekend, and the start of one of our favorite New York City traditions, The US Open Tennis Tournament – we wanted to begin this week with a story that truly hits home for us.
For our Main Story this week, we go to Flushing, Queens (#bathroompunintended) to Arthur Ashe Stadium… for a first-round tennis match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andy Murray.
While the Tennis itself was fantastic and hard fought… a critical moment in the match came after Tsitsipas used a timeout to go to the Bathroom.
While you are allowed to take the time to do so… Tsitsipas took 8 minutes to come back to the court, causing the momentum of the game to completely shift against Andy Murray who waited for his opponent to return to the court.
Murray was livid about it and complained to officials ranting that it has never taken him that long to go to the bathroom, especially given the fact that the toilet is just inside the tunnel.
Murray would go on to lose the Match in 5 Sets, and Murray the next day continued his frustration with the Bathroom Break on twitter writing:
"Fact of the day. It takes Stefanos Tsitsipas twice as long to go the bathroom as it takes Jeff Bezos to fly into space. Interesting"
Now, while the tennis match was really enjoyable to watch… we appear to have a real conundrum on our hands…
…A question we feel obligated, No!… Obliged to answer…
How long does a Bathroom Break Take?
Well... according to a Bathroom Habits Survey from MaP, the average person spends 30 minutes in the bathroom daily.
Now, according to another survey, the average person also uses the restroom between 4-8 times per day… so lets meet halfway and say 6 trips to the bathroom a day
That’s 5 minutes per Bathroom Break… but that is also assuming that you haven’t:
So to go back to the Tennis Match, you have to assume that Tsitsipass was not eating Chipotle, Nor is he allowed access to his phone during the Match… so that bears the question… What was he doing with those extra 3 minutes?!?!? #CHEATING!
What do you think? Is a Bathroom break cheating? And how long do you think the average acceptable Bathroom Break in Tennis should be?
Enough with the Bathroom Breaks… Let’s get into this weeks Potty Picks:
__
We figured we would stay with the Tennis theme for a moment, just so we can bring back one of our favorite sketches from Amy Schumer’s show “Inside Amy Schumer”!
This hilarious sketch makes fun of the groans tennis players make while hitting the ball, or giving it all out effort!
We think this sketch is absolutely hysterical, and its clear to see why its our choice for Video Of the Week!
In honor of Labor Day Weekend, we figured we would give you our 5 favorite songs about working for the week ahead!
Not to worry, they are still some groovy tunes! Did you know that listening to music while working has been proven to improve your mood, relax you and make you feel overall happier!
For this weeks Potty Picks, we feature some Work classics from: Theo Katzman, Michael Jackson, Tiesto, Dolly Parton, and Vulfpeck!
While we didn’t intent it, it appears this will be a Bathroom heavy episode of the Blog… but what can we say… its what we do!
In case you aren’t already familiar with professional F1 Driver, Lewis Hamilton… he is the Michael Jordan of Formula One racing.
He is simply unstoppable… that is… until he finally met his match this week… a very stinky toilet.
Hamilton was hopping into his car just minutes before the race, when he shared his disgust at somebody dropping “a bomb” inside his trackside toilet.
Looks like Lewis Hamilton should have used some POTTYMINTS!
POTTYMINTS are Perfect for people on-the-go, because they are discreet, don’t spill, are pocket-sized, and smell absolutely fantastic!

As you know, we like to end out blogs with a quote for the upcoming week ahead, and this week, to honor Labor Day Weekend, we wanted to leave you with a quote about Work.
This week we leave you with a quote from American Inventor, Thomas Edison.
